Ms. Llewellyn began her legal career in 1984. In that same year she was appointed in the position of Clerk of Court in the St. James Resident Magistrateโ€™s Court. In 1986, Ms. Llewellyn became a Crown Counsel in the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions. She was made a Deputy Director in 1993, and Senior Deputy Director in 1999. In March 2008, Ms. Llewellyn was appointed Director of Public Prosecutions โ€“ the first woman to hold the position in Jamaica.

Mr Justice Boodoosingh was admitted to practise as an Attorney-at-Law in 1992. On being admitted, he practised as an advocate at the firm of J. D. Sellier and Company. He then moved to the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions where he spent seven (7) years prosecuting cases at various jurisdictional levels. In 2001, he became a lecturer at the Hugh Wooding Law School where he was the Director of the Trial Advocacy programme and taught Ethics, among other courses. Mr Justice Boodoosingh was appointed as a Puisne Judge in September 2007 and was elevated to Justice of Appeal of the Appeal Court of Trinidad and Tobago in September, 2020.
