The Attorney General’s Chambers & Ministry of Legal Affairs, the Office of the Public Trustee and the Deeds & Commercial Registries Authority extended its Public Outreach to the township of Bartica, Region 7. Scores of people are in attendance to take advantage of the various services being offered by these Agencies. This outreach will continue tomorrow and persons from the outlying communities in Region 7 and neighbouring Region 10 are expected to attend.
Importantly, a permanent office of the Deeds & Commercial Registries Authority will be established in Bartica so that residents of this Region will no longer have to travel to Georgetown and Essequibo to access these services.
This Outreach and the establishment of offices for the Deeds & Commercial Registries Authority is a promise made by President Dr. Mohamed Irfaan Ali to establish one of such office in each administrative region of Guyana. In this regard, similar initiatives have already been launched in Region 1 and Region 9. We will move to the other Regions shortly.
Also in attendance at today’s Outreach are the Prime Minister’s Representative for the Region, the Mayor of Bartica and Councilors and officers from the Ministry of Housing & Water and the General Registrar’s Office.
