Madame Justice Yorke-Soo Hon, a former teacher, was admitted to the Bar in 1982. Justice Yorke-Soo Hon was appointed President of the Court of Appeal in the Turks and Caicos in 2024. Justice Yorke-Soo Hon was appointed to act as a Judge of the High Court of Trinidad & Tobago in 1997, and has also acted as Chief Justice. Justice Yorke-Soo Hon was appointed to the Court of Appeal of Trinidad & Tobago in October 2008. Justice Yorke-Soo Hon has also tutored at the Hugh Wooding Law School in criminal practice and procedure, ethics rights and obligations of the legal profession.

The First Legal Conference on Criminal Justice Reform - Advancing the Needham’s Point Declaration is hosted by the Government of Guyana through the Chambers of the Attorney General & Ministry of Legal Affairs in collaboration with the Caribbean Court of Justice (CCJ) Academy for Law under the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB)-funded Support for the Criminal Justice System (SCJS) Programme.
