Read MoreToday, the Hon. Mohabir Anil Nandlall SC MP, Attorney General & Minister of Legal Affairs joined the Judiciary to turn the sod for the construction of a yet another Magistrate’s Court on the East Bank of Demerara, at Providence.
In 2023, the Government of Guyana allocated this plot of land for the construction of a Magistrate’s Court and the monies to do so were approved in the 2025 Budget.
With the explosion of the population growth on the East Bank corridor, this facility will enhance the access to justice objectives of our Government. It will add to the 2 other Magistrates Court nearing completion on the East Bank.
I take this opportunity to congratulate the Judiciary for bringing the project into execution.
